Maria Montessori’s 148th birthday

D3A4AB95-B307-43A0-B8FC-1C0DCC1CF925Maria Montessori’s 148th birthday is coming up this Friday.

At our school , We look forward to celebrating by doing a “birthday celebration of life” , make muffins in class with the children, do art projects like pinprick the outline of Italy, make the flag of Italy etc.

How about this as a class/ school wide project ?

Set up a white poster and sharpie on the wall outside the classroom – Ask parents to write “ what is their favorite thing about their child attending a Montessori school “ or “What has been the most benefit to their child in attending a Montessori school ?”

This will give us an opportunity to get feedback from the parents and when shared over social media will be a great way to get the “amazing benefits of the Montessori philosophy “ out into the world !

The child is both a hope and promise for mankind- Dr. Maria Montessori.
