I attended the #Timeconference2018 held at Shelton School here in Dallas yesterday.
We had some amazing speakers, topics were interesting and covered stuff from positive communication, importance of being out in nature, water activities, math activities for toddlers etc.
The last part of the conference was my most favorite. It was not a presentation. It was a great discussion for Montessori teachers – teachers were given an opportunity to discuss the challenges in their classroom. Teachers shared their situation and other teachers gave some tips/tricks that might work in resolving the problem.
There was no judgement, no bias, no pressure, just a fair open discussion forum for everyone to benefit.
Thinking about that, I was wondering how many of us reach out to the coworkers at our school or to our fellow teacher friends/family and get help to deal with challenges we face in our classroom.
Working together with one another, learning constantly in order to be more efficient & productive in order to benefit the child is our classroom should be every teacher’s goal.
Please share your thoughts/ideas in comments.
