Note to the Teacher

I bet kids are wondering why is my school closed? where are the teachers? are they at school ?

Most kids have spent majority of their waking time with their teachers at school. Now that schools are closed, they are adjusting and transitioning to being home with their parents; while the parents are juggling watching them & working from home.

A great activity for kids to do during this time would be to make a “special card for their teacher”

Materials suggestion for this activity: Envelope, index card, construction paper, copy paper, color pencils, markers, crayons, scissors, hole punch, sticker, glue, writing pencil, pen.

Set up above materials on table and encourage children to draw/ write what they want ,to give to their teacher when schools reopen. Let the children have the freedom to show their artistic talent in making a card for their teacher !!
